Looking to sink your teeth into a sweet treat? Well, a trip to the mall might be in the cards because a Cake Boss vending machine has just popped up in Mississauga.

The vending machines are located at Square One Shopping Centre and are selling slices of cake all the way from Carlo’s Bake Shop in Hoboken, New Jersey.

The cake ATMs are located on Level 1 and can be found between Urban Planet and Sleep Country. The cake flavours you can expect to taste range include Rainbow, Red Velvet, Chocolate Fudge, Confetti, Cookies & Cream, Rainbow Fudge, and Carrot.

While these machines only sell slices, Square One says in a Facebook post that full cakes will be available soon.

This isn’t the first time that these Cake Boss vending machines have been spotted here in the GTA. Last fall, the cake ATMs popped up inside the PATH in downtown Toronto.

Can’t make it in person to get a taste of Hoboken’s finest? Carlo’s Bake Shop has recently launched delivery to Canada so you can order full cakes online and have them sent right to your door.

Carlo’s Bake Shop originated in Hoboken, New Jersey but now has locations in cities like New York City, Las Vegas, Orlando, San Antonio, Santa Monica, and Philadelphia.

Because of all the success, the company behind these cake vending machines, Express Retail Group, has plans to install more.

“Given the success, there are plans to potentially add more throughout Toronto, but specific locations are still to be determined,” said Chris Zownir, President and Partner at Express Retail Group in an article on BlogTO.

Right now there are just three of the cake vending machines in the PATH and originally they were being restocked just once per day.

Due to the crazy popularity, the vending machines are now being restocked up to four times per day.

Originally, the cake vending machines sold slices of carrot cake, red velvet, chocolate, and rainbow, but now additional flavours like vanilla confetti and cookies and cream have been added.

Not only do these cake machines hold slices of Carlo’s Bake Shop cake for $8.99, but these machines also have room for 8 full sized cakes.

With more of these cake vending machines on the way, it’s looking like 2020 will be a sweet year for all, however exactly where these new machines will be located has yet to be determined.
