It’s no surprise that many events this year have either been postponed to later dates or have been shifted to be hosted online. This, of course, includes the popular Hot Docs festival. The festival was supposed to run from April 30 until May 10 but was pushed back due to the current COVID-19 pandemic so it will now start on May 28 and run until June 6 but this year it’ll be a bit different.
“Over a month ago when the COVID-19 pandemic first hit, we took the unprecedented step of postponing the public Festival anticipating that we would soon be able to reschedule it,” said Brett Hendrie, executive director of Hot Docs in a release.
If you’re worried about not being able to watch over 100 movies in just under two weeks, then get ready to breathe a sigh of relief because some titles will be available to stream online until June 24.
