If you haven’t made any Valentine’s Day plans yet, and happen to love IKEA’s cuisine then you’re in luck – the affordable Swedish Restaurant we all enjoy visiting while furniture shopping is hosting a V-Day celebration.

Participating IKEA locations across Canada are hosting a Valentine’s Day 3-course dinner for two on February 14th, and tickets are only $34.99! Bring your children along for just $5.99 each.

If you want to snag tickets, visit a participating IKEA location, and tickets will be available in the IKEA Swedish Restaurant. 

What is included in this festive three-course dinner you ask? Each adult ticket includes a starter, main, dessert, and a mocktail – for two!

For the starter, you can choose from Tomato Feta Soup, Hungarian Mushroom Soup, Caesar Salad, or House Salad. The 3 main course options include Meatballs in a Demi-glace Sauce, Sundried Tomato Pesto Plant Balls or Veggie Balls, or Mediterranean Salmon. For Dessert, you can choose between Cheesecake, Chocolate Cake, or Daim Cake.

There will be alcoholic beverages available to purchase separately at the event!

The starter, dessert, and mocktail options may vary by location and for the main, you can choose between these three options:

  • Meatballs with spiced potatoes served with fresh herbs, arugula, and pea salad with turmeric sour cream sauce.
  • Plant balls with curry cauliflower, lime & coconut sauce, served with green beans and red pepper salsa.
  • Salmon served with vegetable vermicelli, Sichuan vegetables, and sauteed sesame coriander sauce.

Who do you love more? IKEA or your SO? Now you won’t have to choose because the beloved furniture store is hosting cheap romantic dinners to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

The three-course dinner will take place on Valentine’s Day 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. and tickets cost $34.99 per couple.

Wondering what’s on the menu? You’ll start with your choice of soup or salad, followed by meatballs with bacon and herb-infused mashed potatoes mixed vegetables and lingonberry sauce. Not your style? Opt for the glazed salmon, cauliflower puree, and vegetables.

Still can’t decide? Try the Nordic shrimp, or veggie balls with ratatouille, mixed vegetables topped with gremolata and parmesan crisps.

Regardless of whatever you order, know that it includes dessert and one glass of wine, beer, or non-alcoholic sparkling beverage per person.

Wondering what makes the dinner romantic? Well, word has it that the night will include music, décor, candles, and flowers. Plus, all couples will be sent home with a parting gift in honour of V-Day.

And don’t worry if you can’t find a sitter. IKEA will be setting up a fun Valentine’s Day craft table for kids.

Tickets are available for purchase as of January 20th and must be purchased ahead of time. You can get your tickets at the restaurant check out at any location.
