Once again some of our favourite brands on the planet team up to launch another stellar collaboration. Lacoste and Supreme have recently announced their second collaboration and it’s a nod to Lacoste’s historic collections. For SS18, LACOSTE X SUPREME unveil a brand-new collection inspired by the LACOSTE archives of the 80’s and 90’s.
The new collection consists of a Wool Varsity Jacket; Nylon Anorak and Track Pant with printed 3M® Reflective pattern; Velour Half-Zip Track Top, Polo, and Track Pant; Hooded Sweatshirt, Crewneck Sweatshirt, and Sweatshort; Velour Bucket Hat, Nylon Camp Cap and Twill 6-Panel Hat; a Waist Bag and a Shoulder Bag.
If you’re interested in scooping up part of the collection, you can get it through Lacoste.com on April 20th Online, or Through Supreme either in-store NY, Brooklyn, LA, London, Paris, and online April 19th.
In an effort to raise awareness for animal conservation programs, Lacoste is ditching their iconic crocodile logo and replacing the logo with the world’s most endangered animals. Each animal logo on the new capsule collection will feature an animal that is on the brink of species-wide extinction.
The new capsule collection is a collaboration between Lacoste and The International Union for Conservation of Nature. What’s cool about this collaboration is that they’ve taken it a step further than just releasing the Polos. Each animal logo polo will be produced in the number of the animal left alive. For example, there are only 450 Anegada ground iguanas left in the world, so Lacoste will only release 450 polos. On the flip side, the Vaquita (similar to a dolphin) polo will only have 30 shirts made as there are only 30 Vaquitas left in the world.

Originally speculated through WWD, the Supreme x Lacoste collaboration is official. New York-based Supreme has joined up with Lacoste for a surprisingly fresh new release.
While full collection details have only just been released, Hypebeast is reporting that the collection will include a: Track Jacket, Harrington Jacket, Tennis Sweater, Pique Crewneck, Long Sleeve Polo, Track Pants, Pique Shorts and a Pique Camp Cap. The collection will use the Lacoste Logo extensively and will feature it prominently on each piece.
The collection will be available in-store at Supreme’s New York, Los Angeles, London and Paris location, as well as online in March 16h.

WWD is reporting that Lacoste, the famed French brand could be next to collaborate with Supreme. The article highlights that neither Supreme or Lacoste would comment on the project, however, WWD is a premier source for breaking collaboration news and we are betting that this collab is in the works.
James Jebbia, Supreme’s founder was seen at Lacoste’s runway show at New York Fashion week on Feb. 11.
Supreme has always been well-known for working with historic brands, and Lacoste obviously fits that bill.
News came out last week that Supreme was sold to LVMH for $500 million. That story has been refuted, but it’s interesting to see the direction that Supreme has been taking as of late. If the brand does indeed collaborate with Lacoste it won’t entirely be clear who the target market for this collaboration will be. While Lacoste is a great brand, they have mainly been rejected by the counter-culture scene and adopted by affluent east-coast types.
