It’s no secret that businesses are struggling more than ever due to the current COVID-19 crisis. Stores, restaurants, and even big-box retailers are sadly closing up shop left, right, and centre. One restaurant that just announced its permanent closure is the iconic Cafe Crepe in Toronto.

The sad news was announced on the restaurant’s Instagram page in a post that read, “due to the burden COVID-19 has placed on the entire industry, we announce the permanent closure of our Toronto location.”

The creperie had been a fixture on Queen Street West for the past 18 years and it’s already receiving an outpouring of love on social media from customers.

While this news is certainly disappointing, the restaurant adds in its post that its Vancouver and Hong Kong locations will be remaining open so if you’re ever in those two places, you know where to go!

2019 is almost behind us and going with it is the iconic Thompson Diner. It was announced that the famous diner would close its doors for good in just two short weeks.

The doors to Thompson Diner will close at 9 p.m. on December 31, but until then it’ll definitely be making the most of the time it has left.

Thompson Diner is located at Wellington and Bathurst and it’s known for its delectable comfort food and cozy upscale diner vibe.

However, the diner will be closed on December 25.

While this news is disappointing for the diner’s long time fans, the folks at Thompson Diner have given us a little parting gift to soften the blow. The diner has shared the recipe for its delicious and iconic Truffle Mac & Cheese.
