If you haven’t heard, festival season is right around the corner. That means the city will be teeming with food and music-centric events, a guaranteed good time when the weather warms up for the season.
And while we’ve already announced a couple of heavy-hitting events, including an inaugural BBQ festival and brunch festival, there’s now confirmation of a food fiesta of sorts, Toronto’s second annual Taco Fest.
Prepare your stomachs for all things Mexican, including tacos, street corn, guac, churros and hot sauce by Toronto’s best chefs. Last year, the event served up 29,000 tacos, 6500 margaritas, and 80 different hot sauces, all to the tune of a live mariachi band. There was even a mechanical taco to ride – fingers crossed it comes back!
This year, Taco Fest will take place at an even bigger location. For three days only, from June 16th to June 18th, head to Ontario Place to get your fill of Mexican fare.
Tickets go on sale this Cinco de Mayo (May 5th) at 11am online at www.thetacofest.ca/tickets. Tickets are required to enter the grounds, and tacos and bites will start at $3.50 each.
