If one of your favourite parts about summer is all of the tasty treats, then this news is sure to bring a smile to your face. Toronto’s very first food truck festival is called Street Eats Market and it’s happening this weekend.

The event will be held at Yorkdale Shopping Centre from Friday, June 19 to Saturday, June 20.

You can bet that you’ll spot some of your fave food trucks like Eva’s Original Chimney, Johnny Rocco’s Pizza Wagon, Jerk Brothers, Beaver Tails, Tiny Tom Donuts, and many more.

While the concept of a food truck festival sounds familiar, this one will be run a little differently due to social distancing practices and safety guidelines.

All orders are placed online in advance on the Street Eats Market website and the pickups are scheduled in 15-minute intervals to avoid lineups and crowding. You’ll also provide your license plate in advance and when you arrive, you’ll be guided to a pick-up area where your food will be placed on a high-table outside your car.

Thought it couldn’t get any better? Street Eats Market is donating 100% of all proceeds from the event to Baycrest Hospital so it’s all for an amazing cause.
