You’ll be able to enjoy a nice sauna session as well as a chilly ice bath at a brand new spa retreat set to open in Toronto this year! The spa will be called Othership and will take over a 3,000 square foot spot downtown.
The soon-to-be Toronto spa describes itself as “a vessel for transformation that invites us to collectively explore our extra-sensory faculties through the practicality and potency of the elements.”
There’s a 45 person sauna that is custom designed as a container for unique guided programming as well as private ice baths so that you can experience the hot and cold cycle properly.
The aesthetic of the spot will have a ton of natural colours and textures to make you feel totally relaxed, as well as soothing lighting, scents, and music.
This entire experience is supposed to teach you “how to regulate yourself – and your emotions – in a world that can’t be regulated can and should be a memorable voyage.”
There will also be a handful of classes offered, plus, a breathwork app that you can download so you can get the full experience. If you’re interested, an introductory pass, which is equal to three visits, is $99.
Othership will be located at 425 Adelaide Street in Toronto and was originally supposed to open on January 10, but with new restrictions in place, we are sure that the launch will have to be pushed to a later date.
