We snagged a seat at the Pinterest Predicts 2024 Presentation, where Pinterest predicts the hottest fashion, food, home, and lifestyle trends for the year. Over the past 4 years, 80% of the trends Pinterest forecasted have come true. For example, in 2022 it was predicted that ‘dopamine dressing’ would be a major trend, and a major trend it was (and still is)! With more than 480 million people from around the world coming to the platform each month to get fashion, home, travel, and beauty inspiration, Pinterest continues to lead the way in trend spotting.
Think… under the sea. From home decor to fashion to beauty, Gen Z and Millennials are driving trends reminiscent of all things aqua-related, from jellyfish to bubbles.
Start adding more bows to your collection because the brow trend is going up a notch! In 2024, there will be no such thing as too many bows. Wearing multiple bows in your hair, on your clothes, and incorporated in your accessories is the vibe.
Consider trading your neutrals for something a little more hardcore this year with cool silver tones and bold chrome! This trend can be incorporated with metallic silver nail art, aluminum furniture, silver layered necklaces, and more!
Quirky, eccentric, fun kitchens featuring bold paint, vintage appliances, vintage-inspired dishware, and thrifted finds are about to take over the decor scene!
This year, create café-worthy beverages from the comfort of your own home with an at-home coffee station – you may even end up saving some dollars in the long run!
Western goth is predicted to be another major upcoming decor and fashion trend. It refers to mixing vintage Americana chic with deep, moody hues.
And no… this doesn’t mean to make a bunch of noise literally. This trend prediction is all about badminton! Apparently, badminton will be extra popular in 2024, from playing the sport to dressing in the badminton aesthetic (sporty skirts, white sneakers, headbands, etc).

Midtown is a busy and fun area of Toronto, stretching from Bloor to Lawrence. There’s tons of shops and restaurants but also way more green space than Downtown. Overall- strolling through Midtown is a great way to spend a Spring day. Here are 5 places we love in the area.
The Clinica is a gorgeous beauty clinic with locations at Yonge and Eglinton and Yonge & Sheppard, Toronto. They offer a bunch of treatments including facials, peels, Botox, filler, laser hair removal, Belkyra, and tons more. If you want to save up to 40% on ALL treatments and products (including gift cards!), be sure to visit their Open House event on Thursday, March 30 for the best deals they’ve ever offered. If you want a chance to win a $500 gift card for their clinic, enter HERE.
Stock T.C. is a bougie grocery store as well as a restaurant & bar with a stunning rooftop patio for Spring eating. They sell fresh meat, fish, and veggies, as well as imported Italian snacks and treats. They have a delicious hot counter and serve great food for lunch and dinner upstairs.
The Curated Market Co is an adorable boutique that sells art, accessories, clothing, and other decors from over 35 local artists. Their stock changes often as they have new artists selling with them regularly. It’s a perfect shop for gifts and trinkets!
If you’re looking for an adorable brunch spot with Spring vibes, head over to Sophie’s on Bayview. The inside is lovely and during the warmer months, they have a great patio out front. Their cornflake-crusted french toast and iced latte are our fave picks.
Piano Piano is a popular Italian restaurant with a new-ish location in Midtown. They have a large outdoor patio in the warmer months and a delicious lunch special. You can get an appetizer, full lunch and dessert for $34 – their Tiramisu is next level.

We love supporting small businesses, especially those run by women. We found these businesses on The Pink Pages Directory for Run The World Summit, a women’s networking event held monthly at the Ritz Carlton in Toronto (Check out our page on it here!)
Run The World Summit helps to empower and bring together women by helping them network. Having (other female) connections can help when it comes to business advice or “knowing someone in the industry” that you can rely on. We’ve had the pleasure of meeting some of these women and/or trying their products, and here are some of our faves!
Oana Badiceanu is the founder of HoneyLux, an environmentally conscious and Canadian female-run business. She sells luxury silk as well as other goodies at an affordable price. We love the leopard premium silk scrunchie available here.
Nipsey Daisy is run by two Canadian sisters – we’ve actually tried their body tape and we love it. It’s hard to find tape that can actually provide support, but their 4” wide tape does the trick. We also love their silicone nipple covers that are totally invisible through your shirt.
Oge Ahanotu is a mom to a daughter and a dog, and she’s an entrepreneur. Her Jewelry is cool and glamorous, and won’t break the bank. We love the double-sided pendant necklace found here.
Arkaeology Studio is a new brand and currently has a limited run of beautiful hand-made bags to shop! Its Toppa Bag is perfect for travel (and could even double as a pillow on the go thanks to its puffer-quilting)! We also love its Mini Puffer Handbags for day-to-day. We can’t wait to watch this brand flourish and grow!
Corinne Haddad created this brand that focuses on inclusivity and diversity – she uses her visually impaired mother Amal as one of her models. We love her skin dew highlighters for that glowy summer look.
Not sure what to get your teacher or mother-in-law for their birthday? Ilona Spirina at Silk & Twine creates the most gorgeous gift boxes. Every product inside is high quality and thoughtfully sourced, and the company itself is women-run and self-funded. We think the Birthday Box is adorable.
Toronto-based Natalie Czerwinski offers a ton of beautiful prints on her Etsy, including illustrations of familiar Toronto spots! She also offers custom illustrations if you want something more personalized – like an illustration of your home for example.
Olaeda is a Toronto jewellery brand in which its jewellery is hand-made with 14k gold-filled or solid gold. The pieces are never plated and are made to last. Its pricing is also extremely fair, for high-end jewellery! We are loving this Diamond Heart Locket.
Last but not least, you may have heard of this one as it’s another Toronto local brand, THIC. THIC Studio is a hair salon that also has a limited product line, THIC. The brand recently came out with its own shampoo and conditioner (which we’ve tried and loved), and its Daily Hair Perfecting Oil is a crowd favourite totally worth trying.

North Medical Spa, one of our fave places in the Toronto East End for facials and Botox, is the first medical spa in Canada to carry the popular luxury skincare line, Augustinus Bader.
We highly suggest visiting North Medical not only to grab some highly-coveted cream, but for all your facials and injections too. Their services also include Microneedling, Hydrafacials, Skin Tightening, Laser Hair Removal, and more. They’re located at 569 King St East in Toronto, and also have additional locations in Oakville and Collingwood (Opening this month!)

7 Super Chill Wellness Spaces In Toronto To Know About
Abercrombie & Fitch started out as a luxury outdoorsy brand in 1892. It mostly sold camping and hunting equipment for elite, upper-class men.
By ‘All American’, they’re of course referring to upper class, boarding school, waspy white kids. The women were thin and blonde and the men were tall, muscular, and fit. Instead of just selling clothes, they were selling an idea: if you wear A&F, you too can be popular, beautiful, fit, and rich, just like the people in the ads. Instead of looking up to an unattainable celebrity, they wanted people to look up to these attainable faces in their campaigns.
This ‘idea’ was represented by the “Hot Naked White Men” that adorned the shopping bags that high school girls would later cut up and paste to the inside of their lockers. It was represented by the staff that worked at the stores – they were never judged on their sales or their politeness to customers, only by their looks and being white.
By 2015, discrimination of race and size was seen as a “stupid business decision”. Abercrombie & Fitch was getting terrible press for the exclusionary tactics they prided themselves on for so many years and even lost a case in court for refusing to hire a woman who wore a headscarf. Something here needed to change.
Fran Horowitz replaced the white male CEO of Abercrombie & Fitch in 2017. Her goal was to “wipe clean” the brand’s history and start fresh as a brand that embraces everyone, including plus sizes. The “cool kids” that A&F once went after were now described as “anybody and everybody”. Today, tons of plus-size and POC influencers now call A&F one of their favourite brands.
“[Abercrombie & Fitch] didn’t invent evil. They didn’t invent class. They just packaged it.”
