If you’re looking for something fun to do this weekend, you’re in luck! BIG on Bloor festival is back this weekend, July 15th and 16th, for its 16th year!

Over 100,000 people are expected to attend the festival throughout the weekend, and more than 100 local artists and small businesses.

On Bloor, between Dufferin and Lansdowne, will be closed to cars, as the event takes over the street.

Attendees can expect to see stage performances, outdoor murals, window displays, public installations, food, drinks, and so much more!

“The Festival both encourages and sustains participation by creating a context for working on a positive common goal (year round) as a community. It nurtures everyone from emergent to senior artists, by creating a regular occasion to present: musical and theatrical performances and participatory art projects by making opportunities to contribute, to be constructive and to learn to exercise leadership.” States the BIG on Bloor website.

The event is free to attend!

Note: BIG on Bloor is working towards being a zero-waste event, meaning anything you bring should go wither into the green or blue bin!
