If you’re at Yorkdale Shopping Centre this weekend, be sure to book an appointment with Dyson for a free styling session! An in-store stylist will give you a personalized walkthrough of Dyson’s innovative hair products and give you a free wash and style — perfect for if you’ve have any special events coming up this weekend. Styling sessions are by appointment only, so be sure to book online before you head in.

Friday Night Lights Movie Nights at Downsview Park — August 30

With the weather cooling down, there isn’t much more time to enjoy free outdoors movies in the city! The second last show of Movie Nights at Downsview Park will be taking place on August 30. Grab a blanket, snacks, and friends, and cuddle up to watch Incredibles 2. The showing will take place in the football field and there will be plenty of room and parking, so everyone can join.

Artfest Toronto at the Distillery — August 30 to September 2

For its 12th year, Artfest Toronto will be popping up in the historic Distillery District. From August 30 to September 2, immerse yourself in all things art and craft and celebrate sculpture, painting, photography, live music, and more. If you have any kiddos, make sure to drop them in the Artfest Kids pavilion for free art workshops. Head down any day over the weekend between 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for some good ol’ family fun.

Bumble x Surf the Greats: Beach Yoga — August 31

Join Bumble on Woodbine Beach on August 31 for a little morning yoga and kombucha. Start your weekend with a free sweat and stretch — all you have to do is present your Bumble profile and bring a yoga mat or towel to practise on.

Saturday Coffee Cupping at Boxcar Social — August 31

Learn a little more about your favourite morning beverage at Boxcar Social Summerhill’s weekly coffee tasting. Every Saturday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. you can learn how to properly taste, smell, and evaluate coffee, and everything else you need to know to become a coffee connoisseur. Before you head over, be sure to reserve your spot with free tickets first!

Himalayan Festival — August 31

From 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on August 31, head over to Nathan Phillips Square for the 13th annual Himalayan Festival. There’ll be Nepalese arts and crafts, as well as live music and performances. The one-day event is completely free to attend, just remember to bring some pocket change so that you can try all of the Nepalese delicacies that will be on hand.

First Five Festival — August 31 to September 1

Head over to the Aga Khan Museum for a cultural delight! The museum will be hosting a free festival to celebrate its fifth birthday. There’ll be activities and live music all weekend long, including Persian jazz, Filipino hip-hop, and Bhangra dance classes. Not to mention, an artisan market, food, and free admission to the museum collection. The festival is open 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. on August 31 and 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on September 1.

Canadian International Air Show — August 31 to September 2

The annual air show is back this weekend and celebrating its 70th anniversary. This year, Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows, will be joining, and there will be tons of aerial maneuvers showcased throughout the weekend. Instead of splurging on pricey Air Show tickets, we suggest finding a spot along Lakeshore and pulling up a blanket and snacks.

Jazz Sundays — September 1

Another free Labour Day Toronto 2019 event to enjoy is live music at the Vista Eatery at Ontario Place. Every Sunday in September, Jazz musicians from across Ontario will perform on Vista’s waterfront patio. Attendance is completely free and the musicians will play three 30-minute sets between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. This Sunday you can catch Stil Trio, a jazz group from University of Toronto.
