Toronto can be an expensive city to live in, especially if you’re a fan of enjoying the incredible food and bar scene it has to offer (which of course we highly recommend!) If you’re just looking to grab a cheap glass of wine with friends, it can be hard to know where to go without spending upwards of $20 on a glass, but fear not, we’ve got you covered!
We rounded-up the cheapest places to get wine every day of the week in Toronto, so you can enjoy soaking-up the sun this summer with a chilled glass of pinot in hand and a happy wallet.
Throughout the week:
- District Eatery’s house wine is $1 an ounce while at least a half-dozen different cocktails can be had for $9.25 on the patio of this King West eatery. Compared to neighbouring restaurants, this place is a steal.
- Convenience’s patio gets such solid sun so bring your sunblock every time you swing by. Combine that sweet heat with $6 select cocktails and wine for 94 cents per oz, and you can easily laze the afternoon away without leaving your picnic table.
- Joe Bird offers after work happy hour deals that include wine bottles for half-price, $6 pints, and $5 mixed drinks between 5 p.m and 7 p.m.
- The Duke Pubs (Duke of Kent, Devon, Richmond, Somerset, Westminster, and York) all do half-priced bottles of wine Monday to Friday from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- Shark Club offers $3.99 glasses of house wine during happy hour Monday to Friday 3-6 p.m.
- Beast Restaurant on Tecumseh offers all bottles of wine for half price from 5 p.m till close.
- Gusto 101 offers their house red and white wines at $1 per ounce every day of the week.
- Prohibition Gastrohouse offers its Special Hooch Hour-Only wines at $5.75 from 5-7 p.m. Monday to Friday.
- The Drake does 5 oz. of its house wine for $5 everyday from 3-6 p.m at any Drake location.
- Moxies does 6 oz. of wine for $6 and 9 oz. for $9 at select locations from 3-6 p.m and 9 p.m until close.
Monday
- H Bar has house wine specials for $5.
- The Gladstone Hotel serves up half-priced bottles of cellar special wines for its “Open Cellar Mondays.”
- Union on Ossington does half-priced bottles of wine.
- Fynn’s of Temple Bar on King St. West has half priced bottles of its feature wines from 5-10p.m
Tuesday
- Earls does half-priced bottles of wine all day long on Tuesdays.
- L’Unita on Avenue Road has over 300 bottles to choose from for its half-priced wine night.
- The Paddock Tavern just off Queen on Bathurst offers $5 house wine from 5 p.m. to close.
- Sauce on the Danforth has $5.31 wine and $6.42 cocktails for ladies night.
- The Office Pub on King has ½ price wine bottles from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and $4 mixed drinks after p.m
- Beaumont Kitchen has drink specials of $7 prosecco (wine’s sister!)
Wednesday
- Beaumont Kitchen does half-priced bottles of wine.
- Boehmer has $9 glasses of its featured wines available every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
- Montecito on Adelaide offers half-priced bottles of wine in its Palm Lounge & patio
- Peter Pan Bistro chooses Wednesdays for their half-priced bottles of wine.
- The Peasant Table offers $1 per ounce wine
- The Brazenhead in Liberty Village offers half price wine bottles and $6 pours
Thursday
- McSorley’s Saloon offers half price bottles of wine with any entree purchase.
- Hey Lucy Cafe has select glasses of wine for only $4.99
- Scotland Yard has many Thirsty Thursday specials including $1.25 off all 9 oz. glasses of wine.
- Shark Club in Dundas Square has half-priced bottles of wine.
Friday
- Montecito does half-priced bottles of champagne from 5 p.m
- Beaumont Kitchen offers up $7 glasses of Pinot Grigio and $8 specialty cocktails
Saturday
- Banknote Bar offers up select red amd white wines by the glass for only $6
Sunday
- Biff’s Bistro has half-priced wine (including champagne!) every Sunday and Wednesday night
- Farmhouse Tavern hosts “F*ck Mondays” every Sunday with a special deal every hour, including $8 glasses of wine from 8-9 p.m.
- Scotland Yard does a Local Sundays where it offers $5.30 for select locally produced beers and wine.
