Starbucks lovers, rejoice! With more Starbucks shops welcoming customers back in-stores, the company is beginning to encourage reusable cups once again.

To uphold its sustainability commitment and work towards a resource-positive future, Starbucks will be offering a $0.10 discount on beverages if you use a reusable cup, starting August 24.

Plus, at permitted locations, you can now ask for the classic ceramic mug to enjoy your drink in-store.

Not only are we totally excited to be able to bring in our personal cups again, but Starbucks Canada will be introducing a new paper straw this month too!

The company’s goal is to eliminate one billion plastic straws globally every year, so it will remove all plastic straws from its cafes.

If you’re curious about the new straws, there are some details that we can share. The straws will be green and compostable and have been carefully selected for their durability to be used in drinks like Frappuccino® blended beverages.
