As one of Toronto’s most exciting art events, Nuit Blanche has recently unveiled it’s 2018 program. While the event focuses on contemporary art installations, this year’s all-night art event will also include an International Dumpling Festival.

Dumplings are found in cultures all over the world and this event will showcase many of them. The International Dumpling Festival will take the form of a street-side public food court that will serve dumplings from different ethnic regions.

The festival is actually an art installation from artist Ken Lum who is using the dumpling to show the variety of the world shown through a similar food presentation.

Lim has collaborated with six Toronto Vendors and will curate a menu of dumplings with everything from Polish pierogis to Tibetan momos to Jamaican patties.

Paired with each dumpling station will be a banner created by Lum to highlight each dumplings history, culture and country of origin.
