Nike has sued Lululemon, saying that some of Lululemon’s footwear products infringe on Nike’s patents. According to court documents filed with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

The footwear products in question are Lululemon’s Blissfeel, Chargefeel Low, Chargefeel Mid, and Strongfeel styles.

Lululemon started selling footwear in March 2022, starting with its Blissfeel running sneaker.

Nike is claiming that footwear infringes patents related to textile and other design elements of its footwear – like its Flyknit technology.

Business of Fashion states that Lululemon told them in an email: “Nike’s claims are unjustified, and we look forward to proving our case in court,”.

Nike said it has suffered economic harm and irreparable injury as a result of Lululemons infringement.

This isn’t the first time Nike has sued Lululemon though, the brand has also sued Lululemon for patent infringement over its at-home fitness Mirror.
