Our Monthly Beauty And Fashion Favourites For August

Another month has flown by, and this one marks the end of summer (even though summer doesn’t technically end until September 23 – but you get it). Throughout the past month, the SD team naturally did some shopping (it is what we’re known for, after all), and tried some new beauty products, fashion pieces, and even a few lifestyle products. Only the best of what we’ve tried throughout August made it onto our list of favourites.

Here are all of our August favourites!

Beauty:

Clinique - Almost Lipstick, Black Honey

Clinique – Almost Lipstick, Black Honey

Clinique’s Almost Lipstick in Black Honey is the perfect lip for everyday wear. It’s hydrating, long-lasting, and is super buildable. Allowing you to control whether you want a subtle wash of colour or a more bold lip. Perfect for transitioning into fall!

Hourglass - Ambient Lighting Blush, Mood Exposure

Hourglass – Ambient Lighting Blush, Mood Exposure

The Ambient Lighting Blush from Hourglass will always be a win in our books. The shade Mood Exposure is a soft plum colour, that we think would flatter all skin tones. It leaves a glowy, radiant finish, and works as a great blush topper.

Buxom - Full-On Plumping Lip Polish

Buxom – Full-On Plumping Lip Polish

A gloss that provides high shine, shimmer, and plump? Yes, please. Buxom’s Plumping Lip Polish is a go-to for day-to-day wear or even for a night out. It provides a subtle plump, without that super harsh burning sensation.

Nudestix - Hydra-Peptide Lip Butter

Nudestix – Hydra-Peptide Lip Butter

Apparently, August was a month for lip products among the SD team! If you’re looking to have ultra-hydrated lips, a little bit of plump, and lots of shine, you have to try the Hydra-Peptide Lip Butter from Nudestix. It’s truly so good.

Bose – QuietComfort Noise-Cancelling Headphones

Transitioning into the lifestyle section of this list is a piece that actually doubles as a fashion accessory – headphones! If you choose to have the noise-cancelling setting on, you literally can’t hear the outside world, but there’s also an option to set them as “aware”, so you can listen to whatever you please, while still hearing what’s going on around you.
