Just in time to refresh your fall wardrobe, INLAND will pop up this week for their eighth seasonal consumer and industry showcase and sale. On Friday, September 21 and Saturday, September 22, proudly shop all the Canadian brands your heart desires when INLAND takes over QRC at 134 Peter Street West, inviting consumers to shop directly from over 70 of Canada’s top emerging and established designers.
Whether you’re in the market for a new fall jacket, denim, or conversation-starting accessories, you can expect an assortment of designers fresh off the runway of Toronto Fashion Week, 20 leading brands from Montreal, and collections from across the country. The common theme is a mix of quality contemporary fashion that is primarily manufactured in Canada and shows a dedication to ethical and sustainable practices.
INLAND designers include Hilary MacMillan, Tara Rivas, House of Suri, Jennifer Torosian, KQK, Mayer Man, Amanda Moss, Maggie Jayne, Valerie Dumaine, Ninety-Eight, PAUZE atelier, Cat Janiga, and Dolorous Jewelry, among others (find the full list of participating designers here).
“Canada has the opportunity to be a global leader in locally created, sustainable apparel,” says Sarah Power, INLAND founder. “Shoppers have come to rely on INLAND as the place to fill their wardrobe with incredible pieces, both trendy and timeless. It’s very inspiring to see this community of innovative, conscious creators grow.”
New this season, INLAND had launched The Studio, an initiative that awards the most promising graduates and emerging fashion businesses from the Toronto Fashion Incubator (TFI), Ryerson Fashion Zone, OCAD U Material Art & Design Seneca Fashion, and George Brown Fashion programs with complementary retail space – a major win in a city of sky-high commercial real estate costs.
Attendees will once again have the chance to win the ever-popular $1,000 Canadian designer giveaway (you can also enter online). INLAND takes place on Friday, September 21 from 3 pm to 9 pm and on Saturday, September 22 from 11 am to 7 pm.
Since its launch in 2014, INLAND has showcased over 400 Canadian labels from Vancouver to Halifax, offering a chance for fashion-loving Canadians to shop labels created in their home and native land, and heightening the profile of our homegrown fashion talent in the process.
