This summer is a big one for concerts! After the past few years of being touch and go with large-crowd events, it seems that this summer a lot of artists and bands are itching to tour again! Lucky for us, Toronto happens to be a popular destination to make a stop. We browsed the list of every concert happening in Toronto this summer (now until the end of August) on Ticketmaster and rounded up some of the best ones (in our opinion) to try and snag a ticket for.

Drake is officially opening up a brand new concert venue in partnership with Live Nation Canada. After three years in the making, the venue will be called History and plans to open are slated for later this year.
Drake spoke about the launch in a press release, “Some of my most memorable shows were playing smaller rooms like History. I wanted to take those memories and what I learned to create an incredible experience for both the artists and the fans.”

“We saw an opportunity to bring Toronto a great new venue, and we have so much gratitude and respect for Drake teaming up with us to bring it to life in the best way possible,” said Live Nation Canada in a release.
So, if you’re as excited as we are about returning to a live show, stay tuned for updates!

As one of the most unique and hidden spaces in Toronto, the abandoned TTC Subway station known as Lower Bay Station has been a mystery to many Torontonians. While some get the opportunity to check the space out every few years through Doors Open Toronto, many people haven’t seen it or have even heard of it.
For the first time ever, the TTC in partnership with Canadian Music Week will be opening up the abandoned station for a live concert. This is really cool as the station hasn’t been used in 52 years. The evening will feature several performances from local bands, DJs and visual artists.
While the headliner for the event remains as mysterious as the station, according to reports the platform will be flanked by two open subway cars that will be used performance space for the musicians. Unfortunately, advanced tickets for the event are now sold out, more are expected to be released once the headlining act is announced.
