The legendary wedding dress designer Vera Wang knows perfectly well how to work with delicate materials. So it’s no surprise the designer teamed up with another iconic high-end brand best known for its extremely photogenic macarons, Ladurée, to create her most delicate and sophisticated products yet – a coconut creme chantilly macaron and a wedding cake.
So what do the Vera Wang desserts taste like? According to the designer, the key ingredient is coconut. “Coconut is one of my favourite flavours in any context. It always tastes delicate, yet complex, even when mixed with other flavours, even scents!” said Vera Wang in an interview with Vogue.
The flavours were also inspired by Wang’s favourite French dessert meringue glacé and mango. “A coconut chantilly macaron and a mango-flavoured coconut were heaven at first bite for me,” said the designer.
According to Wang, she treated the design of the iconic sweets, as she would a wedding dress, paying equal attention to the taste and the style of the desserts. So, not only her delicate treats taste like heaven, but also they reflect her signature chic and minimalistic modern style.
As you’ve probably already guessed, the collaboration titled Vera Wang Pour Ladurée is limited edition, which means it won’t be that easy to taste the highly-anticipated dessert. The macarons come in elegant black packages decorated with silver detailing and cost $24 per 6 pieces.

Although originally first reported in June, one of the finest bakeries in the world will be bringing their sweet delights to Toronto consumers this December! . French luxury bakery and sweet maker Ladurée will open its first location in Toronto later this year. This will be Ladurée’s third location after two successful Vancouver store openings.
Toronto’s Ladurée bakery will be housed in Yorkdale Shopping Centre and will be situated between Saint Laurent Paris and Links of London.
According to our friends at Retail-Insider, the new Toronto Ladurée will feature a retail section and a 26-seat tea salon.
If you didn’t know Ladurée is famous for their macarons considered some of the best in the world, Torontonians will get to experience macarons that would normally take a 7-hour flight to taste.
The storeid history of Ladurée – which was founded in 1862 has them credited as the original makers of the colourful decadent bite-sized pastry. According to aficiandos, Ladurée is the finest maker of macarons in the world and we expect Torontonians to fall in love.
When Ladurée opened in Vancouver just over a year ago, there were huge lines as fans clamoured to get a taste.
Hey Daniel! Laduree will actually be opening mid* December & we hope to see you then 🙂 If you have any further questions you may also DM us @DanielFerreira0
