We discovered this option while brunching at this restaurant last weekend. The V-Day menu features a lighter fare as well as some “romantic” options including a pink lemonade, tea infused ganache, and dark chocolate heart truffle. There isn’t an item on this menu that doesn’t sound appealing!

Perks: coat check, friendly staff, fantastic location – Queen East, and tons of paid parking including a Greep P

2. CACAO 70 Eatery

Richmond Hill, we are coming! We are about to open a brand new Eatery and we are more than happy to invite you to our chocolate world. Stay tuned! – 100 York Blvd, Richmond Hill, Ontario. ?? ? ? #cacao70 #astateofchocolate #richmondhill

Located in the heart of the Distillery District, this cozy spot offers both sweet and salty options. The restaurant describes its menu items as “if decadence were a country, these would be its capital cities”. What we love most are all the sharing plates to make your night even more romantic!

Perks: located in the DD, perfect for chocolate lovers, street parking and Green P parking available

3. O.Noir

You already know I had to go back and eat there again. O.Noir is such a unique experience, and this time I brought a couple more friends with me. Everyone is so in love with the environment and the food. 11/10 would recommend ???

A post shared by Toronto Jewel (@torontojewel_) on

Though this restaurant does not have a special menu for V-Day, I must say this spot is one of my favourites and one of the most romantic spots in the city. O.Noir translates as “its better in the dark” and that’s exactly true with this restaurant. All the waiters are visually impaired and the restaurant is pitch black to give patrons the experience of using all senses other than sight. We highly recommend this one!

Perks: Groupon available, coat check, very intimate, no phones allowed (in the dining room)

4. The Good Son

Stop by #TheGoodSonTO for brunch today and enjoy our delicious French Toast on Brioche, topped with Creme Anglaise and Roasted Apples! Available from 11AM-3PM.

A post shared by The Good Son (@thegoodson_to) on

Offering a 3 course $60 prix fix menu, this is a very exciting option for V-Day. I find this restaurant very romantic with the dim lighting and warm atmosphere. Not only is there the prix fix but there are the classic add-ons like oysters available. Aphrodisiac anyone?

Perks: seasonal drinks, great wine, romantic, access by public transit

5. Death in Venice

Cookies and Gelato is health food for the soul! . ? @foodgallery.to

6. Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada

Splash into 2018 under the sea with our first ever New Year’s party! ?

A post shared by Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada (@ripleysaquaca) on

For $275 per couple, Ripleys’s is offering a 3-course dinner and bottle of wine in one of their intimate galleries. The night includes a complimentary souvenir photo and live entertainment!

Perks: complimentary coat check, complimentary souvenir, access to public transit

7. 86’d

Toronto’s one-of-a-kind speakeasy and restaurant, 86’d, offers guests an experience unlike any other. Guests are served by the chef, mixologist and the owner of the restaurant instead of the wait staff, giving the place a more intimate atmosphere and making it a perfect place to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

Book your reservation via email (themotocoffee@gmail.com)

Perks: The menu focuses on zero waste, hyper-local ingredients, and changes each week. 86’d also has no regular cocktail menu – instead, guests will be asked what mood they’re in, what flavours they’d like, and each drink is custom made to order.
