While some of us have it easier in Vancouver, those trudging through snow drifts in Edmonton or Toronto know the value of good, warm winter clothing that will last us from the first snowfall (in October) to the last melted flake (in, say, May).

The go-to boot for millennials in the early 2000s is back, and for good reason – they make fantastic boots for long, cold winters. However, if you’re not a fan of the classic UGG style, you’ll be pleased to know that they make a whole bunch of different styles that don’t resemble those boots everyone rocked in high school. These are perfect for anyone who wants one pair of really stylish, warm boots that can transition from day to night, or fall to winter.

If you’re in the market for winter boots so sturdy that you can take them hiking, Columbia is the brand you want.
