We just saw that VIA rail is starting a new promotion called Discount Tuesdays. Starting now, depending on the destination and travel period, train tickets from Toronto to Montreal can be as low as $39! We don’t hate the sound of that. The price is for economy seats but it sounds like a pretty sweet deal. They offer complimentary wifi, individual charging outlets, a menu where you can purchase light snacks, beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), headsets, and pillows in case you want to catch up on some zz’s.
The sale is on Tuesdays ONLY and lasts until midnight. Keep checking, because the prices may change based on the week. Always make sure to double check the lowest fair page to make sure you’re getting the best bang for your buck. Take advantage of Discount Tuesdays and enjoy the stunning sights of Mount-Royal. This holiday season, the cost of a one-way fare is only $44 for select dates from both Montreal-to-Toronto and Toronto-to-Montreal. BUT, make sure you check the dates first!
Nearer to Christmas week, the prices do increase to $58, $76, and $94; but it’s still possible to find a few of the cheaper tickets left for that week.
