Ready for a new take on an iconic Canadian classic? On Thursday, July 25, Tim Hortons will launch its first-ever upscale café in downtown Toronto.
Dubbed an innovation café, it will be located at 130 King St. West at the bottom of the Exchange Tower.
Conveniently located beneath the Tim Hortons head office, the new restaurant will be used to test out new menu and technology initiatives. And as expected, this ain’t your regular ol’ Tim Hortons.
The design, inspired by Tim Horton himself, ties back to the brand’s roots, with hockey imagery dotted along the walls. Wooden tables and accents are paired with smooth leather seating, and a wraparound coffee bar adds a touch of elegance to the space.
One of the most notable features is the Tim Hortons Brew Bar.
Here you’ll find the new Tim Hortons draft latte, a nitro-infused cold brew with a layer of milk, along with lattes, americanos, cappuccinos, flat whites, cartados, macchiatos, whole leaf teas, tea lattes, and more. All of the new drinks are made-to-order using seven different brewing methods, including pour over, manual press, and cold-steeped to name a few. In terms of cold refreshers, expect to see handcrafted iced teas and lemonades like the nitro peach mango iced tea and blueberry lavender lemonade.
And to top off your drinks, the new innovation café will have seven choices of milk and dairy alternatives: almond, soy, oat, skim, 2%, whole, and cream.
But let’s talk about the food because it all sounds so delicious.
Tim Hortons is introducing 12 new Dream Donuts, which includes flavours like blueberry hibiscus, brown butter and sea salt, crème brûlée, and poppin’ praline. And if one donut isn’t enough for you, you can even order a Dream Donut tower, which is your choice of 11 donuts topped with four Dream Timbits, which come in coffee crumble cake, chocolate truffle, birthday explosion, and cookies n’ cream.
And the donut selection isn’t the only food category expanding.
Kick off your breakfast with yogurt bowls or a breakfast sandwich with freshly cracked Grade A egg, and then dive into lunch and dinner with premium sandwiches and wraps, paired with brand new soup flavours like lobster bisque, Thai green curry chicken soup, and more.
If you like what you see, you won’t want to miss the grand opening event.
The ribbon cutting ceremony begins around 8 a.m. on Thursday, July 25. Getting there early has its perks! On opening day, the first 100 guests can enter into a draw to win a $5000 trip for two to the 2019 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage classic. The next 200 guest can enter a draw to win a signed Sidney Crosby jersey, a signed Nathan MacKinnon jersey, four Toronto Blue Jays tickets, one pair of Toronto Raptors tickets or one pair of Toronto Maple Leafs tickets. The first 300 guests will each receive a $10 gift card — that sounds pretty sweet to us!
