If you’re a Tim Hortons devotee, then you know that this time of year calls for the fan favourite contest. Roll Up the Rim to Win will be back on March 8 until April 4, but it’ll look a little different this time around including a new name.
The game will now be called Roll Up to Win, and will no longer feature the classic rolled up rim.
Rather, everything will be totally digital on the Tim Hortons app.
Some of you may be familiar with this digital version, as Tim Hortons first introduced it last year when the pandemic hit. For those who aren’t familiar, all you’ll need to do is download the app and scan it at check out to earn a virtual roll.
The Cheif Marketing Officer, Hope Bagozzi, said about the reinvention in a release that, “The growth of Tims Rewards and the Tim Hortons app were clear signals to us that Canadians are ready for a fully digital Roll Up contest — and going digital opens up all kinds of new exciting possibilities to evolve the game…”
With this change comes the new prize system. The selection will offer more items like cold coffee and breakfast sandwiches and wraps.
The best part? Everyone’s a winner. That’s right, Tim Horton’s is ditching the “please play again” slogan and replacing a ‘losing’ roll with reward points.
