If you’re planning a wedding, you know how quickly the costs can add up.
From the venue and food, to the DJ, decorations, and more, sticking to a budget is a lot harder than it looks. Luckily, there’s one area where you can save money without having to sacrifice your deepest desires: your wedding dress!
Throughout the year, bridal shops host pop-up and sample sales, but the spring is by far the busiest time of year for these types of events to happen. Between February and March, there are plenty of sales happening in Toronto and surrounding areas, and the prices and designers make the sales well worth the drive.
Take a peek at some wedding dress sample sale and pop-ups happening in the GTA this spring:
GTA Pop-Up Outlet Shop Wedding Dress Sale (Now to March 30)
From now until Saturday, March 30, shop over 1500 brand new designer wedding gowns. Prices are slashed 50% off the retail price with most dresses under $1000, and there are plenty of sizes available. The GTA pop-up outlet shop wedding dress sale by Bridals Direct is also a one-stop shop — they have lots of accessories and bridesmaid and mother-of-the-bride dresses, too. No appointment is necessary, but outdoor footwear must be left at the door, so remember to bring slippers or socks. Shop the Bridals Direct pop-up at 2050 Dundas St. East in Mississauga Thursdays to Fridays (11 a.m. to 8 p.m.), Saturdays (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.), and Sundays (11 a.m. to 5 p.m.).
The Modern Bride Bridal Semi-Annual Sample Sale (February 8-10)
While not exactly the GTA, the deals at The Modern Bride in Guelph (15 Wyndham St. North) are too good to pass up. Featuring designers like Alexandra Grecco, Pronovias, Blush By Hayley Paige, and more, prices for most gowns will range between $500 and $1500. Sample sizes range from 6 to 14, and most of the sizes available are 8 to 12. While no appointment is necessary, you do need to RSVP at firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and wedding date.

All dresses are priced between $199 and $999 and there will be plenty of accessories — think veils, belts, tiaras, and more — to shop, too. Admission is free and no appointments are necessary, but absolutely no makeup is allowed to be worn at the sale. Those who come wearing makeup will be asked to remove it upon admittance. The show runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. but the last admittance will be at 2:30 p.m., so be sure to get there early!
