Vegetarianism is a growing lifestyle choice in Canada. According to statista.com, 12% of Canadian identify as vegetarian with a huge percentage of those people falling in the under 35 age range.
With vegetarianism on the rise, it’s no surprise that a vegetarian food festival would seem like a good idea.
In September 2018, the Veg Food Fest is coming back to Toronto. Presented by the Toronto Vegetarian Association, the Veg Food Fest is North America’s largest celebration of all things veg.
Veg Food Fest is the largest vegetarian food festival in North America and is attended by over 40,000 visitors each fall at Harbourfront Centre.
The festival features Toronto’s best veg cooking with over 140 vendors. Try locally-made cashew ice cream, cookies, cupcakes, artisanal vegan cheeses, pizza, sausages, samosas, salads, and smoothies. Whether you have a sweet tooth or you’re on health kick, there’s something for everyone at the Veg Food Fest.
