While bricks and mortar stores seem to be shuttering on the daily, it seems quite rare that brands are actually opening stores in todays day and age. That is in exception to Apple. The brand is constantly opening new stores worldwide, including new ones in Toronto.
The brand is moving from it’s current Eaton Centre location into a new space that’s used to be occupied by Abercrombie & Fitch.
An unnamed source told MacRumors that Apple will host a grand opening for its new store in December. This makes a lot of sense considering the fact that you cannot schedule a Genius Bar appointment at its current outpost past December 6.
The former Abercrombie & Fitch store is currently masked by construction, but iLounge is estimating a store opening of December 14 after employee training.
This 10,000 square-foot space is on the ground floor, near the Eaton Centre’s Queen Street entrance.
This isn’t Apple’s only new store development it has in the works either. Rumours are swirling that Apple will open up a store at Yonge and Bloor by 2022.
This new store couldn’t come at a better time as there’s no doubt that shoppers will want to get their hands on the latest techy devices just in time for the upcoming holiday season.
However, if this new Apple Store is delayed in opening, keep in mind that Apple does have stores at Yorkdale Shopping Centre, Fairview Mall, and Sherway Gardens.
