Jollibee is finally opening its first downtown Toronto location! It’s expected to open its doors before the end of the year.
This follows the news last month, from a press release, that Jollibee is aiming to open 300 stores in North America by 2024.
Back in 2019, the Filipino fried chicken joint did announce that it would be opening a new restaurant on 334 Yonge Street in Toronto, but didn’t mention anything since then, until now, of course.
A spokesperson for Jollibee confirmed in a statement to BlogTo that it will be opening on the corner of Yonge and Gould. The area is quite popular with retail and often busy with people, so it’s definitely a great spot to open for business.
Although the new Jollibee restaurant will be open, due to the COVID-19 restrictions, it will only be available for takeout and delivery.
So, even though you may not be able to feast at the restaurant, the important thing is that you can still enjoy your fried chicken elsewhere.
Rumour also has it that Jollibee will be opening a new location in Midtown Toronto, but the opening date has not been released quite yet.
If you’re a fan of the restaurant, then stay tuned for more news on opening dates.
