Calling all chicken lovers! American restaurant chain Chick-Fil-A has just announced plans to open more than a dozen restaurant in Canada over the next few years.
CTV News has confirmed that Chick-Fil-A will open a location in the GTA by 2019 and is excited to enter the Canadian market.
If you’ve never heard of Chick-Fil-A, the restaurant is best known for its breaded chicken sandwiches and operates more than 2,300 restaurants in the United States and one in Canada (sorry Toronto you’re not first) at the Calgary International Airport.
Chick-Fil-A is also known for the superior customer service and unfortunately for their strict religious adherence and controversial (wrong) stance against same-sex couples.
in 2012 Chick-Fil-A faced pro-LGTBQ protests after the company’s president, Dan Cathy expressed support for “Biblical” interpretation of marriage and faced a serious backlash.
As far as strict religious adherence goes, the chain is closed on Sunday to give employees a day of rest with accordance to the Christian beliefs held by Cathy.
