Canada Day is one of the stand out long weekends of the year. It’s right smack dab in the middle of summer and if the weather is nice the possibilities of things to do are endless. While the Weather Canada Day in the past few years has been a sub-par, If you wanted a hot day you are in luck.
For some of us it may be too hot, our expert friends at Accuweather are predicting that while temperatures will hover around 30 C high humidity will make it feel close to 40 c. We caught up with Brett Anderson from Accuweather who told us “Canada Day in Toronto will resemble a steam bath. Triple H weather….Hazy, hot and humid with afternoon temperatures between 32 and 34 deg. C away from the immediate lakeshore, where temps will hover closer to 30 C. However, factoring in the high humidity, it may feel closer to 38 or 39 deg. as you go farther away from the lake. There may also be some air quality issues. At this point, most areas should stay dry, though we cannot rule out an isolated afternoon thunderstorm. ”
