One of Toronto's Best Parties is Just Around the Corner

Once the weather warms up, people starting hitting the patios and pack their parkas away. Hibernation is broken and the city comes alive. Toronto’s got an endless supply of options when it comes to what to do, but if you’re looking to rub elbows with the who’s who of the city, then you’ll want to check out one of the most talked about parties, Operanation.

Now in its thirteenth year, the event is North America’s largest opera party. Now we know what you’re thinking, who parties for opera? It’s not the hoity-toity types you might expect, but rather, 1000 of the country’s cultural luminaries and trendsetters.

Last year, the event wowed gussied up party goers with live performances (including one by Canada’s own Dragonette), one-of-a-kind art installations, a massive chocolate display, photobooth, and more.

This year, Operanation’s line-up is no less notable. Themed A Night of Curiosities, the extravagant evening’s roster will include a performance by JUNO winning musician Kiesza, yummy hors d’oeuvres, free flowing champagne and elixirs, and culinary experiments.

Tickets to this fabulous event, which takes place at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts on May 25th, are $150 per person and all proceeds will go towards the Canadian Opera Company’s Ensemble Studio – the nation’s premier training program for young Canadian opera artists. Is there any better excuse to dress and drink up than for a cause like this? We didn’t think so.
