Beloved Toronto Denim Retailer Announces Massive New Location
Toronto’s Bloor St. is ever-changing.
Stores come and go, and while we’re sad to see certain retailers leave, we’re more excited to welcome new retailers onto the street.
In the past year, retailers like Aritzia, Nordstrom Rack, McEwan Foods, and Good Goddess The Nest have moved into the ‘hood, and there are still more retailers to come! A rumoured Eataly location has since been confirmed, and it’s likely that the Yonge and Bloor intersection will become home to a massive Apple store in the future.
Long-standing Toronto denim store Over The Rainbow recently confirmed that it will be opening on Bloor Street as well.

For over 44 years, Over the Rainbow has been supplying Toronto’s most stylish with jeans and more.
But like all good things, they eventually come to an end. Owned by the Carman family, Over the Rainbow will be leaving its 4,300-square-foot outpost on Yorkville Ave. and relocating to a bigger and better location in the Manulife Centre, centrally located at Bay and Bloor.
“This bigger, modern space marks a new chapter for our family business,” Joel Carman, Over The Rainbow founder said in a press release. “We feel our customers will embrace these exciting changes while still enjoying the same comfortable, friendly shopping experience they have grown to love about Over The Rainbow.”
Although the store will be new, Over The Rainbow is bringing its celebrated familiarities with it.
Its famous “Denim Wall” and selection of fashion-forward tops, outwear, and accessories will all still be found at the new location. And the changes that do come will only elevate the shopping experience, with a menswear section double the size of the last, dedicated areas for accessory and lifestyle products, and an in-store tailor shop.
Shoppers can expect to find the coveted brands that Over the Rainbow is known for, such as Fidelity, Canada Goose, Seven For All Mankind, and AG Jeans to name a few, as well as an expanded collection of must-have labels.
Stay tuned for a store preview following the opening!
