Drake’s brand October’s Very Own, otherwise known as OVO, is making its way out of the 6ix, and opening up a third location in Mississauga.
Currently, OVO has a handful of stores open across the globe, with two locations in Toronto (Yorkdale Shopping Centre and Dundas St. West), one in London, one in New York, and one in Los Angeles. This weekend, the list will be rounded out with a sixth location at Square One Shopping Centre.
The Square One OVO store is slated to open on Saturday, November 24.
While reps for the Mississauga mall were unable to spill the beans on any special happenings, if history tells us anything, it’s that the opening is going to be absolutely bonkers.
Back in August 2017, OVO opened in Yorkdale Shopping Centre, and the hype was real.
The unveiling of the 1,600-square-foot space, with a marble exterior and gold accents, drew a massive crowd. The lineup to get inside the highly promoted store (you may remember this promo video that features Drizzy cruising through the mall in an Escalade) almost filled the entire wing that the store lives in.
Inside, the retail space truly reflected the brand and the luxurious Yorkdale shopper. Mirrored walls and golden fixtures display OVO apparel, and we’re expecting nothing less than the best for the new Square One location.
If you’re thinking about checking out the opening of the Square One OVO store, it’s probably best to go early to avoid swarms of crowds. The mall opens at 9:30am on Saturday, and shoppers can find OVO nestled in between Lululemon and B2 Shoes, across from Microsoft.
In terms of offerings, it’s safe to say that it will offer what OVO’s best known for: contemporary sportswear and urban streetwear. Shoppers can likely also expect capsule collections and exclusive drops.
What is probably the most exciting about the opening is that the Square One OVO will be the only store to sell OVO Kids.
The next generation line, exclusive to Square One, will feature tees and hoodies emblazoned with OVO’s famous owl, for toddlers and children (or #OwlBabies). You can take a peek at some of what OVO Kids has to offer below.
