SaleSpy: Inside The Theodore 1922 Closing Sale Ft. Eton, Z Zegna & More
After 13 years of dressing some of Toronto’s most stylish men, a staple menswear retailer is closing its doors.
Theodore 1922, located just west of Bloor St. West and Spadina at 374 Bloor St. West, will be saying goodbye to the Annex neighbourhood. The closure marks an end of an era, as the strip transforms from a once-bustling garment district to a slew of student-friendly restaurants, cafes, and pubs.
While the boutique will, without a doubt, be missed by its long-time customers and fanbase, Theodore 1922 is going out with one last hurrah.
Theodore 1922 is hosting a massive store closing sale featuring stylish menswear, suits, and accessories — pretty much everything is 50-70% off!
If you’ve never shopped at Theodore 1922, the retailer’s roster of brands includes some of the best that menswear has to offer. Think labels like Z Zegna, Eton, Z Zegna, Samuelsohn, and more.
The store is neatly organized by size and style category. Shoppers can find suit separates, casual tops, denim, swimsuits, underwear, and socks at the front of the store, while two-piece suits, dress shirts, and accessories live in the back.
If you or someone you love has a wedding or formal event coming up, this is the place to score an incredible deal. High-quality designer suits and jackets are marked down from upwards of $1700 to 50-70% off — you won’t find designer deals like this anywhere else in the city.
Super steals can be found in $50 and $10 bins.
At the front of the store near the underwear and socks (which are 30% off), $10 and $50 bins are treasure chests full of gems.
While the $10 bin houses accessories like ties and pocket squares, the $50 bin is teeming with pants and tops from brands like Eton, Hiltl, and more.
The boutique will close its doors for good on May 25, but be sure to head to the store sooner rather than later.
Like any great sale, the best items are the first to go — and with some many amazing pieces, Theodore 1922’s collection is sure to fly off the racks! We suggest heading to the sale as soon as possible to ensure you score deals on the brands and styles that you love.
Unlike many other store closings across the city, Theodore 1922 isn’t another victim of the retail apocalypse.
In fact, the decision to close the store was incredibly difficult for owner, Miranda Black, who is moving on to focus on sharing the incredible stories of Canadian garment manufacturers. We’re excited to follow her on her new adventure.
While the Annex is sure to miss the menswear staple, Theodore 1922 will always be fondly remembered.
The team leaves with this lovely note: “Cherish your wardrobe. Buy what you love and then care for it like you plan on owning it for the rest of your life. Buy clothing like we aspire to buy food: as locally as possible with good all natural resources that feel great on the body. Look good to feel good. Be kind while doing so.”
Take advantage and shop the Theodore 1922 closing sale until May 25. Get full sale details here and take a peek inside the sale below.
