The company's engaged employees and member-owners are committed to building a democratic workplace, sustainable, and human-powered transportation movement that promotes the efficiency of Toronto commuters.

Urbane Cyclist opened in 1997 and has since grown to become one of the most cycle-friendly hubs in downtown Toronto. In the shop’s humble beginnings, it started as a bike repair shop and today has expanded into accessories as well.

Carrying many leading brands such as Marin Bikes and Salsa Cycles, Urbane Cyclist also designs its own line of bicycles called Urbanite

Major decisions are made by its members in a collective process, each member is a part-owner. With a very different approach from the corporate focus on the bottom line, the shop supports its customer's and worker's livelihoods.

Book a bike service appointment online if you need a safety inspection or tune-ups essential or comprehensive. And if you'd rather the team comes to you, Urbane Cyclist offers a mobile repair service; a pick-up and delivery service that is 100% green.
