A New Restaurant On Ossington Is Giving Away Free Ramen This Month
When it comes to food, nothing that tastes sweeter is a dish that doesn’t break the bank — or is completely free! And this month, a new Toronto restaurant is giving diners a complimentary taste of what to expect.
The Shozan Room, a new wave Japanese restaurant on Ossington Ave., is opening a brand new concept on the ground floor of the restaurant. Dubbed the Snack Bar, the eatery is ringing in its grand opening with a bang!
On Friday, June 21 and Saturday, June 22, you can receive a bowl of Tonkotsu Ramen completely free!
And if you’ve never tried it before, you’re in for a real treat! The owners of The Shozan Room previously owned Kon-nichi-wa on Baldwin Street and championed ramen before the ramen craze took over the city — its Tonkotsu Ramen is legendary amongst Toronto foodies. Unfortunately, Kon-nichi-wa, along with several other businesses, was forced to close after a devastating fire in 2017, but its taste lives on through The Shozan Room and Snack Bar.
To grab your free bowl of ramen, head to the restaurant, which is located at 164 Ossington Ave., on Friday, June 21 from 6-8 p.m. or Saturday, June 22 from 1-3 p.m., while supplies last. Just be sure to get there early — when it comes to get free things, there’s usually a wait!
Along with ramen, Snack Bar will serve a variety of Japanese-style bar snacks.
Unfortunately, you won’t get to try those for free over the June 21 weekend, but it’s the perfect excuse for a date night, or when you’re exploring the Osssington strip.
