Stussy Opens New Store in Toronto with Sam James Coffee

After a few year stint on the corner of Ossington and Queen West, LA streetwear brand Stussy shut their doors to the public, leaving us wondering if they had plans to set up shop in another Toronto location. Well, the day has finally come and Stussy has teamed up with Sam James Coffee to open a new store in Chinatown at 241 Spadina Street.

You may have remembered the dismay of locals when Stussy gave the boot to Sam James (the original tenant in the Ossington space) but it seems like the two brands have made amends with their new partnership. The new Spadina space houses the Sam James’ coffee shop in the front portion of the store, while Stussy’s showroom is in the back half.

To make the Toronto relaunch extra special, Stussy also collaborated with four local artists, Kwest, Avi Gold, Clubgear and Same James, to create limited-run tees which were available at the store opening this Saturday. All proceeds were donated to the maintenance and building of new features at Dunbat Skatepark on Bathurst, just south of Dundas.

The interior of the new Spadina store will form the basis for store relaunches including all North American locations and the LA flagship. Take a look at the new store below:
