Some showers are for a quick wash, some are for a hair freshen-up, and some are reserved for everything. Dubbed as the everything shower on TikTok. Everything showers are a head-to-toe shower routine that includes all of your pampering essentials, usually done once a week (specifically on Sundays, to get the vibes just right). The secret to having the ultimate everything shower to make yourself feel super clean and rejuvenated is having a great product line-up to use before, during, and after. Our ultimate everything shower routine involves a decent amount of steps, so light a candle, get a glass of ice water, and dive in!
Before your everything shower, there are a couple of things you want to do to prep. For one, put in a scalp/hair oil prior and massage it in. The longer you can let it soak, the better! You can also lightly dry brush your body to start the exfoliating process.
When you step into the shower is when the real work comes in! You’re going to want to start by washing your hair. We love a double-shampoo routine. The first one is to get out the oils and grime, and the second is to ensure the hair is really cleansed. Next, put in a hair mask and let it soak while you do your body routine. The in-shower body routine involves exfoliating, shaving (if you shave), and washing (we actually like to save washing to the very end, though, to get all excess product off). Once that’s done, it’s time to rinse out your hair mask and apply a conditioner to lock it all in, then rinse.
After showering, throw your hair up in a towel, dry off, and put on a cozy robe. Then it’s time for skincare. It’s best to wait until you’re done showering to do skincare to wash off any product that might have gotten onto the face. Once your skincare is done, moisturize your entire body, put in a leave-in hair mask, and you’re done! At this point, you should feel absolutely rejuvenated, fresh, and ready to take on the week.

As we move into colder weather, it takes a major toll on our hair and skin. Often requiring a whole new beauty regime! Winter beauty routines are all about hydration in order to combat the cold and dry air. It’s time to switch out any products that may strip the hair and skin, with the help of brisk weather conditions, for products with heavy-duty moisture. Although the perfect routine may differ from person to person, there are some products in general that we can’t imagine getting through winter without!

Now that the summer has passed, retailers are working hard on getting out all things new for fall and winter. The upcoming seasons are jam-packed with holidays and events, and Halloween is just around the corner.
And we were itching to see what the fresh beauty retailer had in store for October.
For those who don’t know, LUSH Cosmetics is a fresh beauty company that makes cosmetics, bath, and skin care completely by hand. You’ve probably seen or shopped them in your favourite mall, and recently, we had the opportunity to visit the Toronto facility to get a behind-the-scenes look at how one of its new Halloween bath products is made.
In this facility is where all of the products for Toronto and surrounding cities’ stores are made — and it’s all done completely by hand. From the creation and packaging and even the marketing, all things LUSH happen under this roof.
In addition to the Boo Shower Slime, shoppers can expect to find fun bath and beauty — think bath bombs, glow in the dark soap, and sparkly bubble bars — with cheeky names like Little Box of Horrors, Monsters’ Ball, and Mercury Retrograde.
Start shopping for the spooky season and check out what LUSH Cosmetics has available for Halloween at lush.ca.
