The Ultimate “Everything Shower” Products & Routine

Some showers are for a quick wash, some are for a hair freshen-up, and some are reserved for everything. Dubbed as the everything shower on TikTok. Everything showers are a head-to-toe shower routine that includes all of your pampering essentials, usually done once a week (specifically on Sundays, in our case). The secret to having the ultimate everything shower to make yourself feel super clean and rejuvenated is having a great product line-up to use before, during, and after your shower. This everything shower requires some steps, so light a candle and get a glass of ice water before you begin!

Keep reading for the ultimate everything shower products and routine!

Before the shower:

Before your everything shower, there are a couple of things you want to do to prep. Put in a scalp/hair oil prior and massage it in. The longer you can let it soak the better! You can also lightly dry brush your body to start the exfoliating process.

Fable & Mane HoliRoots™ Pre-wash Hair Treatment Oil

Fable & Mane HoliRoots™ Pre-wash Hair Treatment Oil

Fable & Manes Pre-wash Hair Oil contains ashwagandha for healthier-looking hair and is designed to strengthen and encourage hair growth. Use this hair oil the night before showering, or at least 5 minutes prior to let it soak in a bit. Distribute along the scalp and massage it in with your hands or a scalp massager. (It also smells great).

During the shower:

During the shower is when the real work comes in! You’re going to want to start by washing your hair. We love a double-shampoo routine. First one is to get out the oils and grime, the second to ensure the hair it really cleansed. Next, put in a hair mask and let it soak while you do your body routine. The in-shower body routine involves, exfoliating, shaving (if you shave), and washing (we actually like to save washing to the very end though to get all excess product off). Once that’s done it’s time to rinse out your hair mask and apply a conditioner to lock it all in, then rinse.

Ouai Detox Shampoo

Ouai Detox Shampoo

It’s worth noting that the best shampoo for you to use is relatively subjective to your hair type and concerns. But in terms of our weekly everything shower, something detoxing is a great choice! Ouai’s Detox Shampoo cleanses away dirt, oil, and product buildup with apple cider vinegar while keratin helps to strengthen hair.

After the shower:

After showering, throw your hair up in a towel, dry off, and put on a cozy robe. Then it’s time for skincare. It’s best to wait until you’re done showering to do skincare to wash off any hair product that might have gotten onto the face. Once your skincare is done, moisturize your entire body, put in a leave-in hair mask, and you’re done! At this point, you should feel absolutely rejuvenated, fresh, and ready to take on the week.
