Throughout the year, bridal shops host pop-up and sample sales, but the spring is by far the busiest time of year for these types of events to happen. Between February and March, there are plenty of sales happening in Toronto and surrounding areas, and the prices and designers make the sales well worth the drive.

From now until Saturday, March 30, shop over 1500 brand new designer wedding gowns. Prices are slashed 50% off the retail price with most dresses under $1000, and there are plenty of sizes available. The GTA pop-up outlet shop wedding dress sale by Bridals Direct is also a one-stop shop — they have lots of accessories and bridesmaid and mother-of-the-bride dresses, too. No appointment is necessary, but outdoor footwear must be left at the door, so remember to bring slippers or socks. Shop the Bridals Direct pop-up at 2050 Dundas St. East in Mississauga Thursdays to Fridays (11 a.m. to 8 p.m.), Saturdays (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.), and Sundays (11 a.m. to 5 p.m.).

While not exactly the GTA, the deals at The Modern Bride in Guelph (15 Wyndham St. North) are too good to pass up. Featuring designers like Alexandra Grecco, Pronovias, Blush By Hayley Paige, and more, prices for most gowns will range between $500 and $1500. Sample sizes range from 6 to 14, and most of the sizes available are 8 to 12. While no appointment is necessary, you do need to RSVP at info@tmodernbride.com with your name and wedding date.

For one day only, shop the pop-up wedding dress sale by Opportunity Bridal. Located at the Stellar Hall & Event Centre (1220 Stellar Dr. Suite 205) in Newmarket, Opportunity Bridal is taking up to 90% off designer wedding gowns size 2 to 28. All dresses are priced between $199 and $999 and there will be plenty of accessories — think veils, belts, tiaras, and more — to shop, too. Admission is free and no appointments are necessary, but absolutely no makeup is allowed to be worn at the sale. Those who come wearing makeup will be asked to remove it upon admittance. The show runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. but the last admittance will be at 2:30 p.m., so be sure to get there early!

With prices ranging between $600 and $1200, you’re sure to find a steal at Bride Delight’s first-ever sample sale! The sale takes place at Langham Square in Markham (Unit 2512, 8339 Kennedy Rd.) and sizes range from 0 to 6. Alternatively, if you’d rather rent than buy, or you have a wedding dress you no longer need, Bride Delight also offers rental and consignment services. No appointments are necessary. This bridal sale, hosted by Lace & BIRCH Studio, will feature a collection of preloved and new designer wedding gowns. Lace & BIRCH’s offerings will also include evening wear, veils, jewelry, bridal accessories and more with a promise of huge savings.
