Who doesn’t love BBQ? And what it its perfect partner? Beer, of course. Now you can look forward to not only spring flowers but Ontario’s largest beer and Rib Fest. The Northern Heat Rib Series returns and the festival will start in Toronto at two locations: Yonge and Dundas, from May 18th – 20th, and Woodbine Park in The Beach from June 15th-17th.
Don’t feel you’re missing out if you live outside of Toronto. All Ontarians can join in. The festival will be traveling around Ontario all summer to multiple locations: Newmarket, Windsor, Welland, Hamilton, Sarnia, Midland, Milton, Ancaster, Thornhill, Hamilton-Mountain, Georgetown, Orillia, Waterloo, and Ajax, from May until the end of August.
Featuring finger-licking ribs, this will be a carnivore’s delight. Perfectly seasoned and sauce, the massive ribs will be served off the bone. Yes, they are messy, but that’s part of the fun. Just try not to wear white!
As well as tons of rib vendors selling all kinds and styles, there will also be a Craft Beer Market, offering more than 35 different beers on tap. Other snacks will also be sold, such as fried onions, potato tornadoes, funnel cakes, BBQ chicken, coleslaw, corn bread, poutine, burgers and sausages, jerk chicken, slushies, deep fried desserts and more.
So BBQ and beer lovers rejoice. Entrance to the festival is free. Just pay for your ribs and beer. Stay and enjoy the live music, and participate in contests, face painting, and other fun activities as you chow down on your yummy feast. It’s going to be a fabulous event!
