From all New Year’s traditions around the world, fireworks have always been one of the most anticipated and popular festivities to celebrate the beginning of the New Year.
Long gone are the days when regular fireworks could impress the crowd. Today cities spend millions of dollars to put on unforgettable firework displays that include up to 10,000 explosions, 400 different types of fireworks and laser shows. Today, it’s far more than just a firework show, it’s sort of an indicator for the wealthiest cities in the world that often compete with each other in order to attract visitors.
There is an unspoken rule – the bigger the city, the greater (and more expensive) the fireworks. From Australia to Dubai, we’ve rounded up the most epic firework displays of 2018 to help you start the year off on a high note.
