In honour of our upcoming Stuart Weitzman Toronto Warehouse Sale, we thought the perfect way to celebrate would be to take a deep dive into the coveted shoe brand, exploring its past and present! From its founding in 1986 to its glowing reputation today, Stuart Weitzman has grown to be one of the top high-end footwear brands available on the market, thanks to its high-quality craftsmanship and desirable designs.

Stuart Weitzman was founded by none other than Stuart Weitzman himself back in 1986. Before the brand’s founding, Weitzman grew up apprenticing under his father, Seymour Weitzman, at the Mr. Seymour shoe factory, sketching his first-ever shoe design in 1957, at the age of 16!
Since the Creation of the Namesake Brand, the majority of Stuart Weitzman’s collections have been produced in Elda, Spain, a tiny city in the Alicante province known for its artisanal shoemaking.
Stuart Weitzman has become known for its impeccable style and comfort. Weitzman was one of a few designers who was also a skilled pattern-maker, believing that “a beautiful shoe is useless unless it feels as wonderful as it looks.”
Flash forward to 1993, when the first Stuart Weitzman boutique opened in Las Vegas, and one of the brand’s most popular shoe styles, the 5050 back-stretch boot was born. Which like it sounds, has a stretchable back design for extra comfort and wearability.
Stuart Weitzman is continuously spotted on the red carpet, having become a major celebrity staple. Its first notable celebrity moment was when Aretha Franklin thanked Weitzman for designing her Stuart Weitzman for Mr. Seymour shoes while accepting an award at the 1983 American Music Awards—before the Stuart Weitzman brand was even established! Since then, Stuart Weitzman has had many more memorable red-carpet moments, famously including its Million Dollar shoes, adorned with 464 diamonds, worn by Laura Harring at the Academy Awards.
In 2012, the brand enters what it calls its “supermodel era”, working with famous models such as Natalia Vodianova, Kate Moss, Gisele Bündchen, Gigi Hadid, and Kendall Jenner.
Over the years, Stuart Weitzman has created a variety of iconic footwear staples, adored by everyone from celebrities to everyday fashion enthusiasts. Its most popular designs include the NUDIST sandal and the over-the-knee stretch boots, LOWLAND and HIGHLAND.
To this day, the Stuart Weitzman brand maintains meticulous dedication to detail and history of artisanal Spanish craftsmanship, creating beautiful shoes that deliver style and comfort for women who are “confident, bold — and, above all, strong.”

The shop stocks everything that The September carries online, but gives shoppers access to touch and feel the footwear and handbags in real life. Online shoppers can also opt to pick up their purchases at The Townhouse instead of getting the item shipped to their home. 
One of the most unique things about shopping at the Townhouse by The September is the ability to shop privately one-on-one or with friends. The September is able to host private parties for shoppers, where drinks and snacks are provided. The Townhouse is also where you’ll find seasonal warehouse sales and special events that give shoppers exclusive sneak peeks of new collections.

My bank account has definitely been victim to this expensive realization, but luckily, there are plenty of designer lookalikes to make the purchasing process significantly less painful!

These loafers/slides have become an absolute wardrobe staple — shoe game strong if you already own a pair! The high ankle boot style has me feeling ways. Transform your look from day to night in seconds with this shoe. I genuinely prefer Zara’s version of this style over Yeezys — sorry, not sorry Kanye. I love the flexibility and stretchiness this shoe offers, especially because my ankles are smaller and typically feel loose in a more structured bootie. Zara’s footwear selection gets me through my favourite season. Keep in mind that a lot of what they offer online is not available in-stores or sells out quickly. We suggest ordering sooner rather than later!

Thigh highs enhance your legs for days. Not only is this style perfect for keeping your bare legs warm in the colder weather Canada sometimes likes to deliver, they also transform your outfit from a 7 to an immediate 11. Since we’re not Gigi Hadid, we can not afford to be dropping 10 bills on this wardrobe necessity, so we’ll settle for Steve Madden’s “Gorgeous” style. Let me assure you that these babes need to be broken in, so wearing them on a night out, where you’ll have some alcohol to ease the pain, is definitely recommended. May you enjoy non-skirt weather more with these boots hugging your thighs.

Prada knows best, and these little things add another dimension to a denim fit — #glamup! This type of heel is not only pretty to look at, but extremely comfortable; it’s a win-win situation. When you’re trying to add a few inches while being comfortable, the Trixie platform accomplishes both tasks pretty well. Steve Madden is reliable for designer dupes when it comes to footwear, so before dropping (hundred) dollar bills on designer, always check their frequently updated stock!

I just had to end with a classic sneaker. Adidas has made quite the comeback, and I support them- in case you were wondering. I have had this pair of Stan Smith’s for two years and they are probably one of my comfiest pairs of shoes, so thank you for the inspo Saint Laurent. The original Stan Smith is such a simple and classic style, making it easy to pair with your casual weekend look! To add an edge, pair with fishnet socks and you will most definitely create “a look”.
