There are tons of outlet stores popping up across Canada that promise amazing brands and even better discounts. Unfortunately, many of us live more than a stone’s throw away from the outlets we want to visit or end up driving the hour (or four) only to be disappointed by the selection.

Outlets tend to be messy, over-picked, and chaotic but our desire to score a discount outweighs all the cons — snagging a deal while shopping is our number one priority! While there are a number of ways you can save by shopping online at regular-priced retailers, we’ve found a number of retailers with online outlet stores that will help you save a couple of bucks while you’re shopping.

Here are online outlet stores to take advantage of.

Yesterday night people flocked to Square One to witness an exciting event – Swarovski Crystal Tree and Sparkle Pop Up grand unveiling. The dazzling celebration kicked off the holiday season in a big way. The crowd gathered in the grand rotunda in front of the Holt Renfrew store was able to enjoy free festivities including some sweet treats from Love Me Sweet, Lindt and Squish Candies, as well as hot drinks from David’s Tea and Starbucks.

To light up the festive mood, the organizers invited Dwayne Gretzky who performed some holiday classic hits. The Toronto musicians are known for mixing the classic and modern pop beat and celebrating such artists as David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, Beyonce and Britney Spears.

The modern-looking Crystal Tree unveiling was supported by everybody’s favourite hit by Rihanna “Diamonds.”

The event also presented the world’s first digital Sparkle Pop Up which offered its visitors to virtually try on Swarovski products, as well as “take a selfie” with the brand’s ambassadors, including a supermodel Karli Kloss.

To celebrate a 20-year anniversary of the breakthrough Air Max 97 shoe, Nike has partnered with Swarovski to create an Air Max 97 unlike any other.

The design team at NikeWomen looked to the pioneers in crystal embellishment, Swarovski to creatively embellish and add durability to the Air Max 97. Containing tiny clustered cut and uncut crystals, the fabric offers a gleaming yet gritty appearance, perfect for a new expression of the original Air Max 97’s signature shine.

“This was such an exciting project in terms of material innovation,” says Marie Crow, Nike Material Design Director for NikeWomen Sportswear. “We were looking to explore shine and durability in a new and innovative way, and we loved the juxtaposition of the Crystal Fabric’s tough sparkle to reinvent an already iconic shoe.”

The shoe will retail for around $400 USD and will surely be a hit among Air Max fans.
