As nice as buying a bouquet of flowers is, it’s even more special to create a bouquet by hand-picking the flowers yourself! Plus, it makes for a great activity on a summer day. There are a ton of pick-your-own flower farms less than 2 hours away from Toronto offering seasonal pickings of a variety of blooms!
Location: 215 Windecker Rd, Cayuga, ON
Windecker Woods Flower Farm is a bit of a drive from Toronto, but would make for the perfect little day trip! The farm is open from dusk until dawn, 7 days a week from late May to October. You pay at the end based on how many flowers you’ve picked.
Location: 9365 10 Side Road, Milton, ON
Not only can you pick seasonal produce at Andrews Scenic Acres, the farm also has flower picking available too! The flowers rotate seasonally, so check out its Instagram or call ahead to make sure the flowers are available for picking at the time of your visit.
Location: 3634 King Street, Caledon, ON
Starting in August, you can go sunflower picking at Campbell’s Cross Farm, located just about 30 minutes away from Toronto, at one of its Sunflower Pick & Create Workshops! The farm has over 700,000 sunflowers come August and it’s quite a sight to see!
Location: 410 Concession 12 Townsend, Waterford, ON
Bonnieheath Estate Lavender & Winery has lavender picking available from June into October, while the flowers are in season! The farm’s sandy loam soil has the perfect characteristics for growing the popular French (intermedia) and English (angustifolia) varieties and cultivars. If you like wine and lavender, you’ll need to check out this farm!
Location: 970 Miller’s Sideroad, Newmarket, ON
From dahlias to zinnias to strawflower to sunflowers, Country Cut Flowers has it all for you to pick! A ticket allows you to explore its field and fill a 1-litre-sized mason jar with your own flower pickings! The farm just asks guests to bring their own scissors/clippers so you can cut the flowers with ease.
Location: 2720 King Vaughan Rd, King City, ON
Towards the end of July you will be able to visit Robintide Farms to pick your own flower bouquets out of its stunning assortment of blooms. Entry is $11 and small bouquets will cost $15.95 and large ones will cost $21.50. Mark your calendars for later in July for flower picking, in the meantime, you can pick strawberries!

All too often, in relationships, we can get in the habit of choosing routine and comfort over doing something new and exciting. Whether it be staying in and watching a movie or going to the same restaurant you’ve been to over and over again. As much as there’s value in those things, it can be fun to branch out and go on a cute date with your boo and experience something new together! Toronto has plenty of date-worthy spots and activities to indulge in aside from the classic dinner date routine. If you’re looking to spice up your date life, read on.
Learn how to cook something new together by indulging in a cooking class guided by a world-class chef! There are plenty of different cooking classes to choose from in Toronto, all of which look equally delicious.
Take a break from the seriousness of life with a game of mini putt at Par-Tee Putt in Toronto! It has a date-night special, including golf and pizza every Monday. It also has Par-Tee Putt After Dark every Friday and Saturday night, which has more of a party vibe if that’s what you’re into.
Experiencing art together can be such a romantic experience. At the AGO, you can walk around, chat, and admire and learn about the current exhibits together. If you enjoy your time, you can make it a regular occurrence as the galleries are ever-changing, and there’s always something new to see. The gallery is open on Fridays until 9, so you could even go after dinner, too!
Switch up the classic movie theatre date by spending your next movie night at Revue Cinema! The cinema was built in late 1911 and is a designated heritage site, being Toronto’s oldest standing movie theatre still in use. You’ll feel like you’re going back in time for an evening while watching current and/or classic cinema on the big screen.
Picture this: You create a candle with your boo from scratch, then you get to go home and light it, spending the rest of your romantic evening in, with your new favourite aroma filling the space. At Kandl-Artistique, you can go on a sensory experience to create your very own candle with a custom blending of 125 personalized scent possibilities, a custom vessel and a personalized label.
We could all use a bit of pampering from time to time. And there’s nothing more romantic than getting pampered with your loved one! Elmwood Spa has a variety of Couples Spa Packages at different price points with varying offerings. We personally think the Exotic Escape For Two sounds extra amazing, including water therapy, a couples Swedish massage, and a 3-course dinner for two for $472. It’s definitely more of a pricey date option, but if it’s in your budget, indulge away!
Get artsy with your boo by painting and sipping at Pinot’s Palette! You can choose any of its painting classes, including one of its date night paintings, for an evening filled with paint, wine, and romance.
