There’s no doubt that Toronto has some of the best shopping as there are tons of places to shop luxury brands in trendy districts like Queen West and Yorkville. There are also tons of malls to visit across the GTA like the Eaton Centre, Square One, and more. However, if you’re a bargain hunter, the aforementioned places are probably not your best bet for a major deal. If you’re looking to spend as little as possible and save big, then head to an outlet mall near Toronto for all the savings.
Location: 13850 Steeles Avenue West, Halton Hills, Ontario
Even though Toronto Premium Outlets is about an hour outside the downtown core, when you get there and snatch up all the deals, you’ll see why we love it. We know outlets can sometimes be filled with less than desirable stores but not this mall — think Aritzia, Gucci, Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH, Levi’s, and Coach to name just a few can’t-miss stores!
Location: 1250 South Service Road, Mississauga, Ontario
You’ve probably passed by Dixie Outlet Mall on the QEW but if you haven’t stopped to check it out, then now is definitely the time. This under-the-radar mall is packed to the brim with crazy deals that you’ll have to see to believe. Don’t miss out on discounted threads from GUESS, Tommy Hilfiger, Aldo, and even the Nike Clearance Store.
Location: 1 Bass Pro Mills Drive, Vaughan, Ontario
A quick jaunt up Highway 400 will land you right at Vaughan Mills, and there you’ll find an amazing selection of outlet stores. With over 200 stores to choose from, the deals just won’t ever stop. Our fave stores to hit up are Roots, the Harry Rosen Outlet, and the Zwilling J.A. Henckels store.
Location: 53 Orfus Rd, North York, Ontario
Even though the outlets on Orfus Road aren’t exactly contained in a mall setting, they’re too good to not include in this roundup. This notable North York shopping strip is known for all the deals you can score. Choose from a cheese outlet (yes, you read that right), Stiches, Le Chateau, and of course, Roots.
Location: 3311 Simcoe 89, Cookstown, Ontario
Located just south of Innisfil in Cookstown is Tanger Outlets and it’s there that you’ll find bargain upon bargain. Not only are the deals on point at this outlet mall but its location means you can stop in for a quick shop while you’re en route to the cottage. Hit up stores like Adidas, Old Navy, Banana Republic, and Coach.
Location: 6075 Mavis Road, Mississauga, Ontario
Head to Mississauga to shop a boatload of bargains at Heartland Town Centre. Save big at stores like La Vie En Rose, Aldo, Naturalizer, Gap, and even dine at Jollibee while you’re there!
Location: 300 Taylor Road, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario
If you happen to find yourself in Niagara-on-the-Lake, do yourself a favour and stop off at The Outlet Collection at Niagara for a quick shopping spree. With fabulous stores like UGG Australia, Cole Haan, Rudsak, The North Face, and more, available to shop, you can thank us later!
Location: 1150 Sheppard Avenue West, North York, Ontario
This North York outlet plaza is definitely one to head over to. You can score awesome savings on household items and kitchenware, as well as apparel from top designers and name brands.
Location: 7500 Lundy’s Lane, Niagara Falls, Ontario
Head into Niagara Falls to shop at the Canada One Factory Outlets. This shopping mecca is filled with stores like Suzy Shier, Garage, Dynamite, Coach Men’s Outlet, and GUESS.

Toronto Premium Outlets features over 130 stores and savings of up to 65% on the brands you love to shop! It doesn’t need to be a hot promotion period to get bang for your buck at this destination, and with last years expansion of over 40 new retailers, there are must-haves for the whole family. There are a couple features to note that are huge benefits when shopping as a family. Firstly, the five-storey parking garage has over 1,600 spots available. Secondly, there are mobile phone charging stations located throughout the centre, as well as in the children’s play areas, so you can kill two birds with one stone while your kids tire themselves out for bed!
We know what you’re thinking because Bayview Village is one of Canada’s most prestigious shopping centres with some very high end shops. How is that family and budget friendly? This mall offers families the greatest luxury of all which is time. From valet car service, a grocery shop, a dry cleaners, a salon, and a walk-in clinic, Bayview Village is a one stop shop for families. Also interesting, but not for the budget conscious, Bayview Village will open Goh Ballet this fall, offering a well-rounded curriculum for kids age 3 and up. Parents can lunch, shop, and get groceries while their children dance.

The Shops at Don Mills has one of the cutest perks. Through October 14th, bring your kids on a train ride around the shops! Tickets are only $4 a ride and can be purchased from the conductor (cash only.) It’s also a great photo op and Instagrammable moment for moms and dads! What happens in the winter? The location where the trains are turns into a skating rink. We don’t have the details yet, but we will come wintertime!

Perhaps the most family friendly of all malls, Yorkdale is truly a destination for parents. When walking through the mall, you’ll often see groups of moms on maternity leave roaming around with their babes, taking a stroll, and enjoying the family fun without breaking the bank. Let’s talk about the family friendly change/chill rooms located in several convenient spots. No matter where you’re standing in the mall, there is a family washroom facility that accommodates all genders within a one minute walk, because not all families come in one shape or size. It’s an all inclusive mall that eliminates the fear of leaving the house with a bunch of kids. Fear you’ll forget something? No worries, Shoppers Drug Mart has everything you could need. Fear you’ll have nowhere to change your baby? There is a change room around every corner! Have a screaming toddler? Check out Dream Space or the new KitKat Chocolatory that’s coming soon! There is something for everyone — no doubt about it!

Aritzia fans know that sales at the Vancouver-based retailer are a dime a dozen. They only happen a few times a year, and when they do, you’ve gotta act fast. Over the years, Artizia has been a little more generous with their discounts…and things just got a whole lot better!
As part of the Toronto Premium Outlets expansion, Aritzia launched a new outlet store — it’s the first of its kind in North America, and the store is joining 130 other outlets in 500,00-square-feet of outdoor shopping space. While a rep for Aritzia was shy to comment on full store details, they told StyleDemocracy that shoppers can expect more than half of the store’s inventory to be offered up at a discount, and hey — that sounds pretty good to us!

While Toronto has been waiting patiently for more Aritzia discounts, each year, the clothing brand hosts something special for their hometown each year. The Aritzia Warehouse Sale has been a longstanding tradition for the fashionable females of the West Coast, and it is without a doubt one of the most anticipated warehouse sales in Vancouver year after year, with lineups that are well worth the wait.
In-house labels like Talula, TNA, Wilfred, Babaton, Wilfred Free, Le Fou, Sunday Best, The Group by Babaton, Golden By TNA, 1 -01 Babaton, and Community have become cool girl favourites, and offer up selections for almost every aspect and age of life. Over the years, those brands have launched their own spinoff stores of their own, and the company has even begun to expand in the United States. Aritzia shows no signs of slowing down.
But on the bright side for shoppers, the outlet opens at just the perfect time. Aritzia is joined by outlets from notable designers and brands like Montblanc, Jimmy Choo, Zadig et Voltaire, Versace, UGG, and Max Mara, who were all given a warm welcome as the Toronto Premium Outlets hosted a slew of influencers and VIP guests for a ribbon cutting and speeches.

Gucci was one of the most anticipated store openings at the outlet and had people lined up around the store. Instagram user @riccovieira claimed that the lineup was over two hours long, while Instagrammer @elisab3th excitedly praised the 30% off deals.
