Are you ready for an adventure this summer? Then check out Long Point Eco-Adventures’ wilderness pod resort in Turkey Point, about two hours southwest of Toronto. Specializing in enjoying experiences in nature, the resort hosts an endless list of activities and excursions, from zip-lining to treetop trekking, to stargazing, kayaking, mountain biking, and more.
What makes this resort so incredible? The collection of private pod suites. Compared to the traditional camping experience, the pods are not only comfortable but luxurious. Inspired by one of the owner’s experience climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, the design of the units aims to be “purely Canadian.”
Each wilderness pod suite has the following amenities:
- King or queen beds
- Private flush toilet and outdoor shower
- Hot and cold running water
- Mini-fridge
- Hardwood floors
- Sliding glass locking door
- Private deck
- Electrical outlets
- Free outdoor parking
- Activities concierge
- Full hot buffet complimentary breakfast
According to the Long Point Adventures website, “the Wilderness Suites provide the comfort of home with views, sounds and sensations seldom if ever, experienced elsewhere in the world.” Suites are tastefully furnished to create a relaxing and authentic environment, and the furnishing match local tastes and history. The pod suite rate during low season on weekdays is as low as $199 per night; weekends during low season start at $249, and $299 during high season.
