Now that Toronto has reached the grey zone, malls are allowed to open back up after being closed for 15 weeks.

With this announcement, everyone might be very excited to get out of the house and wander the mall. However, the food courts are still only available for takeout or delivery, and there are also other new restrictions in place that you may not be familiar with.

Some of the changes include limited entrances to get into the malls, COVID-19 screening of customers upon entering, and store capacities are now limited to 25%.

With these rules, one can expect much larger line-ups outside of the retailers on week nights and weekends. So, if you’re planning on heading out, wear a mask, social distance, be aware of all safety precautions in place, and have patience!
