I attended Toronto Taste 2018 that took place Sunday, June 3, and it was a truly incredible experience, as it is every year! Located Downtown at Corus Quay, the fundraiser brought together sponsors, donors, the Toronto chef community, volunteers and guests to help support people in need.
As a guest, I had the opportunity to support Second Harvest food rescue which helps to deliver nutritious meals for people experiencing hunger and food insecurity in Toronto.
For Toronto Taste’s 28th anniversary, over 90 vendors including Gusto 101, Café Boulud, Sotto Sotto, JaBistro, Il Covo, Byblos, Los Colibris, Hexagon, and more gathered to cook for a cause. Last year, the event raised a whopping $925,000 for the food rescue charity – that’s enough to provide 1.8 million nutritious meals!
This year was even busier than the last so we’re looking forward to finding out how many people the event helped this time around!
