adidas has taken the sneaker world by storm in recent years thanks to their signing of key influencers, as well as the introduction of their Boost technology. The brand with three stripes is not new to the footwear industry, and they have been leaving their mark in Canada for a long time with some amazing collaborative projects.
Here are the best collaborations by adidas featuring Canadian boutiques & brands:
adidas x Goodfoot ZX 8000
Release Date: August 2008
One of the earliest collaborations between adidas and a Canadian boutique, this project with Goodfoot was a part of adidas’ AZX collection with this ZX 8000 model featuring recycled materials.

adidas x Livestock ZX 450
Release Date: September 2008
The AZX collection was definitely ahead of its time with its combination of materials used throughout this ZX 450 — it utilized leather, suede, nylon, canvas, and velcro. This project with Livestock was the beginning of the relationship with adidas that is still present today.

adidas x Goodfoot Rod Laver Vintage
Release Date: November 2009
The good folks over at Goodfoot took the classic Rod Laver model and made it their own with an upper that is composed predominantly of wool, with leather accents along the eyelet and inner lining. One of the highlights of this pair is the wool insoles with the adidas and Goodfoot branding that says “The Brand with the Three Stripes, Eh?”

adidas x Off The Hook Tubular Moc Runner
Release Date: April 2015
Montreal’s own OTH boutique paid tribute to Canada’s heritage with this Tubular Moc Runner. Inspired by the Voyageurs, the early French-Canadian tradesmen, this moccasin-like sneaker has some amazing features such as the unique toe box stitching and the split tongue.

adidas x wings+horns Stan Smith
Release Date: July 2015
Based out of British Columbia, wings+horns is known for their premium take on classic silhouettes and that’s exactly what they did on one of adidas’ most classic models, the Stan Smith. With an upper consisting of Horween leather and suede heel tabs on a classic white sole, this is one of the cleanest executions of the Stan Smith.

adidas x Livestock Pure Boost PK ZG
Release Date: August 2016
When adidas’ famous Boost technology began gaining popularity, the Yeezy Boosts and the Ultra Boosts were the most popular models. This collaboration with Livestock was done on the Pure Boost with a Primeknit upper with full-length Boost which made this one of the most highly sought after Pure Boosts.

adidas x Reigning Champ Ultra Boost
Release Date: November 2016
This was one of the most anticipated collaborations on an adidas Ultra Boost, as Reigning Champ released one of the best collaborative projects of 2016. The unique knit pattern of the upper on an Ultra Boost, with its simple colour combination, made this the shoe to have for 2016.

adidas x wings+horns NMD
Release Date: April 2017
adidas and wings+horns continue their work on creating minimalistic silhouettes as they revamp the NMD R2 with a full leather upper with minimal branding and contrasting stitching. With the NMD typically done in Primeknit or mesh, this leather pair truly made it a special NMD.

adidas x HAVEN Ultra Boost Uncaged
Release Date: April 2017
Triple black is already one of the most popular colourways on an Ultra Boost, but when you incorporate leather hits onto a triple black Ultra Boost Uncaged, it was bound to be one of the most hyped collaborative projects in recent years. One of the hardest pairs of shoes to get your hands on in 2017, HAVEN did an outstanding job on this project.

adidas x Reigning Champ Ultra Boost 3.0
Release Date: April 2017
After their massive hit with their first Ultra Boost, Reigning Champ decided to go in another direction with their next collaborative project. With a muted grey upper and branding on the tongue, this may have flown under the radar for many people, but they were one of the cleanest Ultra Boosts of 2017.
